Kirsten is an articling student at Bekkering York. Born and raised in Vancouver, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Humanities from Simon Fraser University. Always keen to experience new cities, Kirsten has also lived in Montreal and London, England, where she worked in marketing and website development, honing her love of words and compelling communication.
She obtained her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. During this time, she worked as a legal assistant at a family law practice. Kirsten has a sincere interest in helping people. She hopes to gain experience in areas of law that will enable her to work with clients to obtain fair and satisfactory solutions.
Kirsten loves travel, art, and history – she has traveled to over 25 countries and volunteered at historic sites while living in England. She is also a passionate advocate of animal welfare and feels very fortunate to have met and adopted her dog while volunteering with a rescue shelter.
